This web site contains a business application. It is a Personal Time Sheet system that is designed to record time spent working on different projects.

The system was built by Nick Andrews, a professional software developer. The software application was built to meet his specifications. These were established by what Nick required for his own work. It was really a case of , "What system do I want and how would I make it work?" .

The brand name used for the system is The Research Director. There are 10 different name variations on this domain which are interchangeable. You can use any one of them to access the service. Nick at one time, worked as a Research Director for a chain of Canadian commercial radio stations, hence the name.

The software application is presently in its first iteration. Over time, as opportunities for improvement become clear, new versions will be released.

The software is provided to users at no charge. It is a LAMP system. The databases on the server are not encrypted and information can be read in transmission.

If the system proves to be popular with users, it will be moved to an HTTPS encrypted server. In the future the software package will become free to download. Users will then be able to install it at their own web servers.
